WELL BALANCED - 1500's CAMPAIGN
A fun collaboration for the upcoming 40th birthday of the iconic New Balance 1500’s sneaker. The campaign speaks to how cemented this legendary shoe is in street culture history and accros the brains of every generation walking the planet.
The illustration was created by sketching with a sharpie, followed by adding colour digitally. The palette is inspired by original 80’s New Balance sneaks. The result is a nod to ink blot tests in the way we know instinctually these are a pair of sneakers, no matter how abstracted the sneakers have become.
The tongue in cheek reference - “well balanced” is a play on words and keeps the tone creative and progressive, which are core values of the New Balance brand.
